The full story
Scaleswap was making one of the first fund sites for an Initial DEX Offering, or IDO. An IDO lets a new crypto project sell digital tokens. We had to make this hard money path feel clear before a set launch date.
The task
The platform had to guide thousands of people through a crypto wallet link, token share and buy path. A wallet is the app that holds and moves their digital funds.
The screens had grown hard to use as more tools were added. We had to explain blockchain terms, buy stages and key facts in plain steps.
The first public launch date was fixed. We had eight days to plan and draw the full user path and screens.
Make hard tech feel clear
A skilled crypto buyer may know wallet links, token swaps and allow lists. A new user may not. The page had to work for both.
We did not cut the useful tools. We made the path easier to follow.
Each screen had to show enough proof and help many buyers finish the right trade.

How we worked
- Held short work talks with the founders to set the goals
- Mapped the path from first project view to wallet link and token share
- Turned hard blockchain terms into clear page parts
- Drew each screen in Figma for the team and coders to review
- Gave coders the sizes, states and rules needed for the build
- Worked with the coders through the eight-day design window
The new user path
The new fund platform puts clear steps before tech terms.
It guides new users through each fund stage and still shows the facts a skilled buyer needs.
The screens show wallet state, fund progress, allow-list access and project facts in set places. This makes a busy launch easier to scan.
The aim was not one more crypto screen. It was a path people could check and trust.
Design while code moved
Design and code had to move at the same time. Figma let coders start on agreed parts while we kept working on later screens.
One shared file kept the quick build in the same design system.

Hard systems need simple screens.
Key user jobs
- Link a wallet
- Move through the buy steps
- See the token share
- Use the site on a phone
- Use clear screens at each size
- Find a project
- Check each trade
- Help a new buyer start

Test before launch
About 200 test users tried the platform before the public launch. They used crypto wallets and mock fund events.
The tests looked for hard steps and checked if people could finish the buy path in a setting close to launch day.

The launch result
The client reported that the first public fund event raised about $175,000 in under 27 seconds. Close to 2,000 people took part.
User notes praised the simple screens, even though the fund system was hard under the surface.
The launch gave the team a working example of a clearer path through a hard blockchain task.
What we learned
Tech is more useful when people can understand it.
The harder the system is below, the clearer the path should be above.
The key point
A clear screen is not just art. It helps the system work.
Scaleswap turned a hard fund task into steps that users could read, check and complete.
